North Woods

North Woods, a duo from the Boston area, is a collaboration between two singer- songwriters who brought their different styles together to create their own unique sound.

Sherry Aviles and Christina Taylor created North Woods in 2016. Their mix of rock, folk,
entwining harmonies, use of exotic instruments and a touch of classical influences defies
classification but offers a satisfying, sometimes haunting sound that is uplifting and thought
provoking.

Alternating their sound from sparse to complex, their songs delve into the nature of the mind, yearning and relationships, as well as encouragement, wisdom and empowerment.
